Building Foundations for Success
At Holy Trinity, we understand that children need to feel safe, connected, and confident before they can fully engage in learning.
Our Ready to Learn program dedicates the first three weeks of Term 1 and the first week of Terms 2, 3, and 4 exclusively to building these essential foundations.
During Ready to Learn weeks, the focus is entirely on:
- Developing positive connections between students and teachers
- Learning classroom routines and expectations
- Building relationships with peers
- Establishing a sense of safety and belonging
- Creating a welcoming, happy classroom environment
- Reinforcing our TORCH Values in everyday interactions
By investing this time at the start of each term, we ensure that every child feels valued, understood, and ready to embrace the learning ahead. This intentional approach recognises that emotional wellbeing and social connection are prerequisites for academic success.
